Own Collection of Resources Related to Data Science and Buzz Around

I'm subscribed to the following newsletters and I'm trying to dedicate 1-2 hours of my time weekly in order to get at once through all newsletters I receive regularly.

  • Data Elixir
    • Data Elixir is a weekly collection of the best data science news, resources, and inspirations from around the web.
  • Data Science Weekly Newsletter
    • A free weekly newsletter featuring curated news, articles and jobs related to Data Science.
  • Machine Learning Newsletter by Bugra Akyildiz
    • A weekly digest of news related to machine learning from Bugra Akyildiz. Previous Machine Learning Newsletter can be found here
  • O’Reilly Data Newsletter
    • Get the O’Reilly Data Newsletter - stay informed. Receive weekly insight from industry insiders—plus exclusive content and offers.
  • KDnuggets
    • It a site on Business Analytics, Big Data, Data Mining, and Data Science edited by leading expert in the field.
  • Python Weekly
    • A free weekly newsletter featuring curated news, articles, new releases, jobs etc related to Python.
  • The Yhat Blog
    • The Yhat Blog is mainly about machine learning, data science, engineering, DevOps etc.

In case you are traveling a lot, listening to podcasts can be a really great time saver for you. Here is my collection of podcasts I'm usually paying my attention to:

  • Talking Machines
    • An amazing collection of inteviews with most advanced researchs and advocates of machine learning, data mining and statistical learning
  • "O’Reilly Data Show Podcast"
    • Podcast provides a really good overview about the current state of the industry. Despite it can be a bit biased due to the affiliation with published, content is very interesting.
  • Partially Derivative
    • If you want to get weekly updates on what is going on in data science for a moment and have a lot of fun in paralle, that this podcast is definitely a very good choice.
  • Data Skeptic
    • Short podcasts on various topics related to data analysis, statistics, etc.

I'm not a big fan of monitoring blogs, I prefer to get updates on new blog post directly from authors (usually via Twitter) or via various digests and subscriptions. But most of the time blogs can be a very useful sources of knowledge:
